$11 - Jh3h, correct amount to bet on the turn?
With this hand I didn't really think that much betting the turn. What would be an appropriate amount?
Any other suggestions welcome, Seat 1 - Hero ($5505 in chips) Seat 2 - Villain ($6300 in chips) Seat 7 - Button ($1695 in chips) Hero - Posts small blind $150 Villain - Posts big blind $300 *** POCKET CARDS *** Dealt to Hero [J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]] Button - Folds Hero - Raises $450 to $600 Villain - Calls $300 *** FLOP *** [9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]] Hero - Bets $600 Villain - Calls $600 *** TURN *** [9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]] [Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]] Hero - Bets $600 Villain - All-In(Raise) $5100 to $5100 Hero - All-In $3705 |

Re: $11 - Jh3h, correct amount to bet on the turn?
I would say at least half pot-size. With the pot beeing t2400 and ~t4300 behind I like something like ~t1500. It commits you and you have to put your rest in whatever the river may be, but betting 600 into a pot of 2400 is just not enough.
If your opponent is really Laggy I like your bet a bit more, because this one fourth Pot-Size bet induces a Raise/Push quite often. In general I would bet more just 4 value. You will be called by a lot of hands (A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] x 4 sure) and that makes a big bet +EV imo. Edit: I know this is not the question but I wouldn't recommend min-raising J3s as the SB against most players. |

fold pf. If you're going to raise, don't min-raise w/ J3hh. As played bet more on the turn.
