If they're "super rocks", why am I shoving?

Tank, then overshove. These guys are super rocks. I would be somewhat surprised if neither of them had Kings at this point and the other one had the other AA. [/ QUOTE ] |

@sobos: Why are we shoving? There are value-killer cards that can come on the flop. If a Queen comes, or an Ace, do you think either of these rocks goes broke?
Given the reads supplied here, there's a very good shot one of these opps has Kings. IMO, there's no way they lay down Kings to our tank overshove line. |

I think a nitty regular at 200 frequently lays down KK to another tight regular preflop. He knows that I know that he's only 3betting me with KK+ (unless he's going to the next level of thinking, which is unlikely). I do take your point about scare cards. This is very close IMO.

Whatever you do, don't call.

FWIW, I agree with the posters who say to shove. The smaller you raise these guys, the smaller the mistake it is for them to call even knowing you have AA. Not to mention, if they are as nitty as you say, trying to get all the $$ in post-flop will be just as hard as it is pre-flop. What if you flop a set? nits will not go bonkers with KK-QQ vs 2 other players who got crazy pre-flop. |

Why should I be 4-betting light? Over half of the time he'll have AA. You mean I should be 3-betting light, I think. I agree that it's gonna be tough to get them allin no matter what. But, I'm wondering if the C-bet and maybe a curious river call (by slow playing and then betting river) is more than I would typically get by shoving, even if I increase my odds of losing the hand.

Seriously, why do you discredit a discussion about what to do with the nuts? Discussions about maximizing EV with the nuts are just as important as ones about folding when you may be beat. $$$
