I quit when I notice that I started autopiloting and my instincts have nothing to say when I'm faced with a decision from a reg. Also when I'm bored or the games just got bad of course.

ill stop for a variety of reasons.

1- dont feel like playing. you can tell when your concentration fades.

2- start to tilt. i am a HUDGE tilt monkey, so i just stop now when it starts to set in.

3 stop loss. i have a five buy in stop loss. thankfully, that doesnt come into play very often.

Good question.

I have a tendency to play untill I reach my $ goal for the day. If there is dead money at the table and I can't resist walking away, I will multitask (watch TV, browse web) and keep playing my B game. Ultimately, I try to end on a high note, which makes me feel good all day.

If I am stuck, but I see weakness at the table, I will keep playing/adding tables, untill I get unstuck or close to unstuck. If it's really hopeless, I will quit and feel like crap since I just put in a monster session all for nothing.

I usually have a set amount of time that I try to play for, somewhere from 60-90 minutes. If at any point in that time zone I feel bored, tilty, or very happy with my achievements, I'll stop playing.

I'm tired(always play @ night till 2-4am)

or I feel like I've lost momentum(say I havent won a big pot for a hour), and don't have a good mindset anymore

and of course, I stop if I feel tilty
