LOL @ Gaby, that's absolutely terrible. Clearly the guy just spews all over the place. Perhaps this is a case of ego getting in the way of playing smart poker. By no means am I saying I'm never stubborn in a hand myself. I think I am far too often in fact. But there is no defense for the way that particular hand was played, or several others I've seen today for that matter. Tilt maybe?

While I'm LOLing @ regs, LOL @ giveusakiss today. He's been mentioned in this thread a few times and generally I think all our numbers show his results being pretty poor over time. Going into today I had profited as much off him as any other player. Yet for some reason the last two times he's won a big pot against me he's felt the need to talk trash. In one case we both had AK and tptk on the river, and he pushed me off the same hand by overbet shoving all in. Fine, nice play. Winning the pot wasn't enough though, as he proceeds in a poor attempt to play mind games by telling me how easy it is to push me off tptk. I pretty much ignored that knowing how many times he's been caught with his hand in the cookie jar investing $75 into a pot on ill-timed bluffs. Most of the time an overbet shove all in will push a solid player off tptk, LDO.

Then today it folds to me in the sb, he's in the bb, and I pick up AK and limp, with the intention of trapping him as he often raises in this spot. He does raise, and then I reraise huge figuring I'm willing to gamble against whatever he might have. To my surprise he shoves all in and I'm committed. He has AA, I lose. I'm rarely one to be going to the felt with AK but in a blind battle situation against a player who sucks such as giveusakiss, I'm gonna usually gamble. Winning the pot is not enough for him however, as he once again had to poke fun about "how well I'm playing."

At that point I went off on him in a tirade berating his horrible game, how he's the only reg on FTP who doesn't make money, etc etc. Probably wasn't necessary but felt good. He played til the next blind, and hit & ran with his short term profit without saying a word. I'm really not sure what set him off to the point where he felt the need to single me out and attack me, but bring it on I guess. There is nothing about his game that impresses me.

LOL, alright... I'll be the first to admit it's not fair to make assumptions about players without a valid sample size of stats in front of me. General opinion on this board about his game has negative from what I've seen. My rant was based on annoyance at the fact that I've definitely gotten the better of the guy, he wins a big pot in a cooler situation, and feels the need to berate my play. It's just unnecessary. Being a bad loser is one thing, and I often am. Being a bad winner just shows a real lack of class. Unless the winning hand is some sort of payback when there has been previous bad blood, I just don't get why somebody would conduct themselves that way.

FWIW, in a slightly smaller sample size from this month according to pokerplayerwinnings.com:

AF Flop: 5.47
AF Turn: 3.19
AF River: 2.66
Total AF: 4.32
VP$IP: 17.23%
Pre-Flop Raise: 6.16%
Hands: 33304
Profits: $-3660.75

This sample size is not terribly relevant, but at least goes to show that I'm not completely crazy.

Why would a pro like you want to upset a fish like me?

The reason i made the above comments Gamboooool20 was because previously over the last few months (without any prior conversations between us or provocation) you have randomly made derogatory remarks about my game at the tables when we have no even been in hands together. I don't care how useless you think my game but slagging me off a the tables for no reason just smacks of being a wXXker to me.

I have heaps of respect for nearly all of the players i play against but i don't have any time tw*ts who want to make unprovoked smart arse remarks about me when I am playing.

I think this should be renamed "the official FT regulars smacktalk thread."

There he is...

Good to see you giveusakiss.....if I made any derogatory remarks about your game it was probably a followup to frustration from a beat you laid on me while I was running bad, or, I guess the one thing that I have a tendency to do is to berate the waste of time minbets and minraises from any player. Guilty as charged there, when you were doing it. I also go off on shortstacker nits who hit n run but you don't fall into that category. Anyway had you replied at the point when I was making the comments in question we could've gotten that out of our system then instead of you finally winning a few big pots off of me months later and berating my play in spots where my logic was sound. I don't think I've EVER bashed you after taking a pot from you. It just pours salt on the wound.

Anyway, thanks for posting. At least I know where you're coming from now and I'll try to lay off in the chat. When I'm steaming I DO talk too much. That's something I need to work on but it appears to be my biggest challenge.

And to clarify...I don't see you as a fish. As far as I can tell you play at least well enough to come close to breakeven and probably make ridiculous amounts of rakeback. So if that works for you then great. It's not like when you come to the table I'm happy to see the ATM. I don't target you the way I do real fish.
