Re: Blue eyes prop back at Bodog
Babies are born with blue eyes which change over their first several months to brown, green or hazel.

Doh, that's right, I forgot about that. Did we determine last time what the % chance of it being blue was?

Re: Blue eyes prop back at Bodog
I am not sure if this is only the case for caucasian babies. Both Anthony and Lopez where born to Puerto Rican parents. This link from a yahoo discussion group says that Native Americans, Africans, Asians and Hispanics tend to have brown eyes at birth.

Re: Blue eyes prop back at Bodog
The first bet was on Nicole Richie's child and is still open. There is certainly risk that the eye color at birth won't be known and Bodog could just rule the bets no action. I have an African American friend who had a daughter a few months back and she still has blue eyes. The mother is caucasian and I don't know how much influence that would have. The bet obviously isn't a lock.

Both parents look predominantly caucasian to me. |

Re: Blue eyes prop back at Bodog
Another thing to worry about is the listing of grey as a separate color. I'm not really thrilled about the idea of betting blue AND grey just to get a win on the blue/grey color we're expecting. If it were really a lock, it wouldn't be as concerning, but I'm leaning towards passing on the prop.
Anyway, I did take some of the twin action at 25-1. I've only heard twin rumors from an "unnamed source close to Jennifer" and all the gossip columns/rumor mills that bandwagoned, but it definitely seems worth a stab at those odds. She was also on fertility drugs, apparently, which is a big help. |
