so last two days i been playing anyone at 5/10 hu just to see basically "whatever". i played im2fast twice.

first session i really ran like [censored]. i think i made one legit hand on him and then lost the rest in bluffs or coolers...that were pretty standard.

today i played him, and leveled myself into calling with top two, when he had turned trips...

then i played anotehr guy i've played before and 10/20

and another guy i've plaeyd b4 at 2/4 3/6 5/10 etc.

oh, i also played tbthanx who took a few buy-ins off me, from me getting money in with oesd and his one time with Ahi that held, and other time with tp.

all this to say, im even more convinced of how much hu success depends on game selection. there are "bad" regs, hell sometimes i am, but in these little small samples it really just comes down to who runs hotter, who wins the 'standard' hands, yada yada. i know that's nothing new..but i was at least happy to know i was getting ridiculously outplayed, i think that would take playing 10s of thousands of hands iwth someone, and also playing really long sessions and getting vdeep...something like jfish and apestyles, but they aren't playing enough hands to really show something, altho...in their marathon sessions, when they get 300bb deep, i guess more skill will come into play.

all this to say, i'm going back to game selection. i dusted off quite a few buy-ins (few times to tilt, but w/e) but i'm ok with how most of them went.

also, one of the reasons i did this was i was going to be ok with dropping like 5k (granted i dropped 6k in like a ridic amount of hands the first day, and then started flipping with some random guy for the hell of, but that's not the point) the point is....well idk, just wanted to do it.

i dot hink it gave me a better idea of the type of regs that are good to play, and the type of regs that are bad to play, if i ever want to play them again...style wise.

so in that sense, it was a good experiment.
