Re: (78) another dumb bubble sitting out guy thingy

I sigh and fold. ICM calculator can't take into account that shorty is dead, and therefore it's giving you a $EVFold that's less than it should be. [/ QUOTE ] Actually, the number it's spitting out is *lower* than the actual $EV since SB is *never* calling and there will never be overcalls. |

Re: (78) another dumb bubble sitting out guy thingy
The way to calculate $EV on this is to give most of SB's chips to the big stack, some to you, and SB is gone (IE - you've already made ITM). If you can find a play that gives you greater $EV than what you have once you've made ITM, then it's worth it.

Telling the other opponent what you have isn't seen as colluding?

Re: (78) another dumb bubble sitting out guy thingy
Yeah, the 600 you gain when he folds is about the same amount you will lose if you just wait out the short stack busting. The rest of the time you flip for a double to 4500ish (still not even with big stack for coming HU play) or 3rd place.
Just keep in mind that the times you steal the blinds you are likely to get 2nd still, the times he calls you and wins you get 3rd, and if you call and double you still get 2nd probably about 1/2 the time. Or you can take your guaranteed 2nd and hope to get lucky and double a few times to try and win. I think the times you get called here and lose outweigh the times you double up when called and go on to win (the times you shove and just steal the blinds you barely change your position). |
