Folding sucks but I think we have to here, dont see us winning this showdown against any decent villian. If the river wasnt a spade I probably call, I think calling the turn is OK as long as we know what our plan is on the river i.e what rivers are we folding and what cards are safe for us

Folding the turn is out of the question
Unless he has A8 or Asxs he didnt catch up with us. I also disagree that turn presents a tough decision if we 3-bet the flop. Completely standard bet/call against someone who is smart enough to bluff c/r this turn but dumb enough to not realize that hero should know the turn prolly didnt help villain. |

I ran Stove for this hand, and discovered that my fold was horrible if villian would bet TT or JJ on this river. With those two hands included, I have 17.5% equity. I was surprised by this, given how easy the fold felt to me at the time. I wanted to see what your gut feelings were, though.
Also, I didn't three bet the flop because I didn't feel there WAS much value against his range (that's another Stove, though). Board: 2s 8h 6s Ah 8s Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 82.432% 81.08% 01.35% 30 0.50 { KK-TT, 88, 66, 22, AsKs, AsQs, AsJs, AsTs, As9s, As8s, As7s, As6s, KsQs, KsJs, KsTs, QsJs, QsTs } Hand 1: 17.568% 16.22% 01.35% 6 0.50 { JdJh } |

I 3-bet this flop very often for value. I never ever fold turn and calls river against most villains although that 8s is a bad card.

What about 79, 2x, 6x and 8x and small pps??
You havent included a read on villain but these hands are fair to expect on the flop and the turn. Some vilains will follow through on the river too getting a good price on a bluff on the scary card... you havent shown any strength so I think he will be betting a broad spectrum of his range. |
