I hit, but i am not sure i like it
Villain is spewtardic 46/30/1.5
His favorite move is calling 3bets oop and c/r allin on the flop where he gets any piece, but he won't usually float. Converter is acting weird, so i tryed the best i could... Cryptologic No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $5/$10 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $663 UTG+1: $1371 CO: $967 Button: $1506 SB: $990 Hero: $2102.75 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 folds, SB bets $40, Hero raises to $120, SB calls. Re: I hit, but i am not sure i like it
Edit, just read he is a spew tard. Skipped that. Still don't like that much because this is the line that probably lets him fold a lot of hands which you can get value from on the river |

Re: I hit, but i am not sure i like it
I am not trying to get him to fold anything, he is 46/30, so obv he won't fold anything that's better, but as i stated, his raising and calling 3bets oop range is very very wide.
The questions are: A) Should i check behind the flop given his tendencies B) As played, do i check behind turn and value town any safe river or just stick it now since many cards can be bad for me (and some of them can scare him off) and since i call vb on the river anyway from him and he has a pot sized bet left basically. |

Re: I hit, but i am not sure i like it
Betting the flop is essentially a semi-bluff. He isn't folding a pair and he isn't folding Ax (particularly the bad ones for you). If you do choose to bet, you want to bet less, because the only thing you really accomplish is winning the pot from worse hands (i.e. protection), and a bet of $160 is more than sufficient for this purpose, unless you have some particular reason to assume this guy is gonna read weakness into that.
Turn shove is super standard given above. edit: You say he likes to call 3bets and then crai, so this bet is just bad. |
