Reraise or call with KK, FTOPS $1K
I kind of assume either play is OK, but I was wondering what is best. If you reraise, do you push?

If u call, you are most likely going to get another caller. How active has pf raiser been? whats ur image? If he's been opening alot, id donk raise here to like 1400 giving him odds to call and leaving u pot sized bet on flop. If he has been nitty, Id just shove.

Re: Reraise or call with KK, FTOPS $1K
I think stack size rules out a re-raise which isn't a push, because you'd be betting like 1/2 your stack and that look real strong.
I think a flat call is ok, but because of stack sizes, I think we'd have to be prepared to check-fold an ace high flop, just because our remainings tack vs pot size is so awkward, and there's no way we could find out we beat and fold with much left, and the size of the pot wouldn't be quite big enough to risk that he had an ace and be willing to go all in anyways (neg implied odds etc) - does that make anys ense, or is that just reall nitty? The only advantage of a flat call is the chance someone tries to squeeze behind, which would be awesome. If this was a reall agressive table, or the initial raiser had a loosish image, I think this might be worth it. All no ace flops, we should be able to get it all in on the especially if MP1 c-bets, so we have good odds that way. As to pushing I think its pretty good, because its just enough of an overbet to look like AK, AQ, and we get a call out of initial raisers or the blinds if they have a PP, as they have us well covered and so might be willing to flip. Downside of course, is that we often just get the pot now, but thats too bad all in all. I think readless push > call >>> re-raise at agressive squeezy table, I think its a call. |
