Re: Assani vs the StatHeads: Evaluating NFL QBs
Doug Gabriel has had a decent young career, not sure why he hasn't gotten any looks. Caldwell and Brown? I mean, they're not #1 options but they're average-ish.
They also had Ben Watson. I mean, yesterday Peyton threw to a very good/great 1a type player and a bunch of people who combined for like 50 career receptions. |

[/ QUOTE ] combined receptions this year for Gabriel/Gaffney/Caldwell/Brown/Jackson is probably <10, and it's all from Gaffney. (2 of them are hurt, 3 are able bodied) I find it hard to believe that Caldwell is average-ish if he can't manage to get on the field for the Redksins |

Re: Assani vs the StatHeads: Evaluating NFL QBs
i mean if the NFL was perfectly optimized and the depth chart followed skill level perfectly, everything you're saying would be 100% correct.
it's amazing how perfect the NFL is, isn't it? no not really, just because someone isn't getting any time or whatever doesn't prove your point in and of itself, now stfu and get a new one. |

Re: Assani vs the StatHeads: Evaluating NFL QBs
having troy brown, ben watson pretty much guarantees you cant be the worst.
i dont even get the point of this argument. obv tom brady is awesome and didn't have great weapons. and obv he can perform awesome with great weapons. the difference between brady and manning is negligible, the argument is boring for non pats/colts fans; we'd love to have either guy on our team. rounding out spots 3, 4, 5 is so much more interesting. |

[/ QUOTE ] if you go back a year and look at threads here, the consensus for QB ratings was basically Peyton Brady/Brees/Palmer/Rivers, in no particular order. in hindsight pointing out the lack of WR talent is ldo, but go back to last year and lots of people couldn't see it. it's kind of funny to see the change. |

Re: Assani vs the StatHeads: Evaluating NFL QBs
I always thought it was:
Peyton Brady Palmer/Brees/etc. If that isn't the case, why has this same argument been going on for the past 5 years? |
