Re: PokerTracker: The Next Generation (NEW SOFTWARE DISCUSSION)
I am not up-to-date in the cpu war; however, the Intel Core 2 Duo were previously killing the AMD's (I am not sure if this has changed). I do not think you can go wrong with the Intel C2D.
The three biggest things you need are: 1. RAM: Atleast 2GB (the more the better) 2. CPU/FSB/cache: Intel Core 2 Duo. Obviously the faster the clock speed the better. 800FSB is very nice. 4MB cache is ideal but not necessary. 3. Hard Drive: Try to get a 7200RPM vs a 5400RPM. This is critical and maybe the most important even though I've listed it 3. Here is what I was able to quickly configure to meet your needs for $1278 from Dell. I don't have much experience recently with HP but a few years ago they were awful. Dell Inspiron 1720 |

[ QUOTE ] Being able to consolidate all my player notes into the DB and update them while reviewing HH's would be awesome. I'm definitely upgrading to a new tracking program for the improvements in speed, DB size, queries etc. But extra features like this, especially if easy to add, would be the type of extras that'll influence my decision on which product to choose. [/ QUOTE ] The notes system has gone through a complete redesign. It is easy to add notes to a player, hand, or session. When reviewing through the replayer, it is easy to make a note in the hand or on a particular player. The new HUD will have a notes feature built in, so instead of using the site's note feature, the notes would be stored in PT's database. [/ QUOTE ] Will it be easy to (semi-)automate the copy-process for existing notes? FullTilt notes cannot be imported to PT right now, but will the new PUHud be able to copy existing notes? |

[/ QUOTE ] For those sites where the notes are in a readily available format, PT3 will likely be able to import them. If PT3 can't get at the notes, it won't be able to do anything, unfortunately. |

Re: PokerTracker: The Next Generation (NEW SOFTWARE DISCUSSION)
quick question - will there be an equity calculator included with PT3, ala pokerstove? it would be great to have an allinone program.

Re: PokerTracker: The Next Generation (NEW SOFTWARE DISCUSSION)
What are the minimum system requirements for PT3?
I've just bought an ASUS EEE laptop as it's portable, and I'd like to be able to play poker on that (1 table max). The processor isn't exactly great, Intel Celeron M900Mhz, and it comes with 512MB RAM but is upgradeable to 2GB. Will this be enough to run PT3? |

Re: PokerTracker: The Next Generation (NEW SOFTWARE DISCUSSION)
I do not think you will have any issues...PT3 uses a lot less resources than the current version of PokerTracker.
