[ QUOTE ] You guys are underrating Kansas big time have you watched them????? they'd be winning any conference with the possible exception of the Pac10 right now [/ QUOTE ] Wow, you might have just lost all credibility with that comment. (The SEC says Hello) [/ QUOTE ] Are you guys freaking out about MT2R's comment paying attention to his posting history? His methodology used to make that statement has been posted here numerous times. It certainly isn't crazy or worthy of losing credibility. |

put Kansas in place of LSU, Tennesse, and/or Georgia do you see them having a worse in-conference record than any of those teams currently have? I sure don't [/ QUOTE ] M2TR, I believe you and I have a mutual respect for each other. We're two of the good guys in Sports Betting (when I say good, I don't mean I'm a good bettor, but we're good guys ). What you're saying here is that Kansas's record wouldn't take a hit going from the 97th ranked SOS to the 19th, 28th, or 24th ranked SOS, respectively? I think it's a huge gap. Tennessee, the worst of those 3 you mentioned, would be the toughest opponent on Kansas's schedule to date. On a neutral field, I give around 8 SEC teams at least a 50/50 chance against Kansas. Let's look at the teams Kansas has beaten, and then in parenthesis I'll put THAT team's SOS rank, to see if their opponents have an inflated record, too. W 52-7 v. 6-4 Central Michigan (61) W 62-0 v. 2-8 D-1AA SE Louisiana (143) W 45-13 v. 5-5 Toledo (101) W 55-3 v. 5-4 FAU (98) W 30-24 @ 5-5 Kansas State (42) W 58-10 v. 3-8 Baylor (35) W 19-14 @ 5-6 Colorado (8) W 19-11 @ 6-5 Texas A&M (37) W 76-39 v. 5-6 Nebraska (4) W 43-28 @ 5-5 Oklahoma State (14) Seems like, for the most part, they've beaten up on average teams with average SOS. |

BTW, what I'd love to see if teams in BCS conferences were forced to play one BCS road game each.

L #29 Tennessee at #26 California 31-45 [/ QUOTE ] Let's not take this game too seriously. Tenn suspended their starting RB which also happens to be one of their biggest weapons for like his 3rd failed drug test and he wasn't playing in this game--the season opener, so they opened the season w/o their starting RB against Cal...pretty tough. That RB btw failed his 4th drug test and is now off the team. Dude is just a sophmore lol. |

BTW, what I'd love to see if teams in BCS conferences were forced to play one BCS road game each. [/ QUOTE ] Before the NCAA starts forcing teams to play tougher schedules, they need to give them another bye week first. Having to play the season with just one bye is ridiculous. This isn't the NFL where this is the only thing in their lives. |
