is this a standard variance, downswing?? or do I suck ?
I lost $256$ playing 1300 hands of 2-4 HU Limit Holdem?
is this a bad run or is the an actully lossing player statistic. I didnt run, what I felt was far below expectation in the last 400 hands agaisnt this one guy who actully wrote in the chat " I feel I should transfer you money" because he made 9 sets on me, in the 400 hands( it always seemd that i flopped top pair against them too??). I made one agasint him. but is 1300 hands enough to say Im a long run looser playing HU Limit holdem ? |

Re: is this a standard variance, downswing?? or do I suck ?
a 60bb swing is not significant in heads up limit games.
1300 hands isn't near enough, even for full ring. For HU it's nothing at all. 100k hands might be a good start. |

Re: is this a standard variance, downswing?? or do I suck ?
this is a completely standard swing for a winning player.
although, i think its a fair assumption that you are not a winning player at $2/4 HU LHE considering you are asking this question in this thread. BBV hurts |

Thorleif is a legit 2-4 HUHU Balla. I'd take his advice, or else play him HU. If you can't beat him pack it up.

1300 hands is 1 day, half a days worth of work for some ppl. That sample size is big enough to make generalizations to a lifetime of poker trends. And RustyBrooks is right. 60bb is pretty standard.
