Hash browns are often undercooked.

QFT. I've never had hash browns that weren't soggy and flavorless. On the other hand, I've never had home fries that were poorly prepared. Add a little bit of onion into the home fries and let the syrup spill over and you've got yourself one hell of a tasty breakfast item.

Wow I've had the exact opposite thing happen my entire life. I've never had a hash brown that wasn't crispy and awesome, while house fries are always soggy and cold with a pasty flavor of sorts.

WTF
Where have you been eating? YOU RUN GOOD. I've probably had more undercooked HBs than sufficiently cooked.

I don't eat out that much for breakfast, but when I do it's usually either a local joint, or a perkins in the middle of the night.

I would flipflop the welldone hfs and the "other" hfs, otherwise, excellent.

yeah i prefer mine more "well done" as well, but the "other" ones are really good like that, when they are sliced thin with tons of onion and garlic. the well done ones are cooked well, but often don't have as much flavor beyond the initial crisp.

People think I'm crazy, but I don't like hash browns, but I LOVE home fries. I actually don't think I've ever had the kind of hash browns that Noah has ranked at the top though because of my dislike for fast food hash browns. It's probably the one food people look at me in disbelief when I say I don't like it.

Why would I order that type of hash brown when I can have delicious home fries? I guess I'll give it a whirl next time I'm out for breakfast.
