Re: Florida Law and the Rake
That's the same rake structure as all the rooms here in South Florida, although one or maybe two of them pull rake at $6, $16, etc. I'm sure it's justified by saying it's rounded correctly. They can't take .50 because .50 chips aren't in use.

Re: Florida Law and the Rake
I took a quick look and didn't find a statute or regulation which set 10% as a maximum rake in florida.

Some 2/4 and 3/6 limit games will do this. I've even seen it on some limit 4/8 games but most of the time they seem content to just rake a dollar at a time. |

Re: Florida Law and the Rake
Thanks, psandman, I should have done a search before posting my question about the rake. I went to Florida's official website for state statutes at http://www.leg.state.fl.us/statutes/index.cfm
I don't see anything in Chapter 849.086 about a maximum rake, just that it has to be clearly posted. I guess even dealers aren't right all of the time. |

I saw a regulation about the rake-ff but it didn't set a maximum. However it is possible that there is a regulation out there setting a 10% max and I missed it. |

Let me change the word "can't" to "don't." |
