Why don't you just send PMs to ZeeJustin, Shaniac, gobbo or any other MTT guys. I'm sure they wouldn't mind helping you but they might not see this thread.

Re: Economic Research Study - Mid/High Poker players and Risk
I got some good feedback from a few people, thanks for the time. This project is only a paper that's a like 4 pages long, but my teacher said I might want to look into expanding this and making it my thesis and getting it published, in which case I might be back asking for a large pool of specific data and maybe even interviews and such for the publication part. Exciting stuff, no doubt.
What's great about the online poker world is that online poker is almost a perfect example of no regulation, free market dog-eat-dog behavior. There are no artificial controls or constraints anywhere. Plus, the 'winning' players are generally very math savvy, very economics oriented, and knowledgable of game theory. Add all of those things and you get a lot cool economic outcomes which don't always occur with market intrusions and retarded people in the real world. Thanks for all the help. I'll post updates and stuff if this turns into a thesis paper and gets published, which it might. Danny |
