diamond is a better card for him to bluff at then this pair the board card, so villain may be more inclined to call with 99 if the diamond hit then when he fires another bullet into a fairly non consequential river, at least depending on villain.

It's not really about the board.... well it is, but it's about OP's line vis a vis the board.

1) Hero has represented a strong hand.
2) Villian has been passive.
3) Hero does not have a bluffy image
4) Villian sounds weak/tight

I check and hope it goed check/ check and he shows a lower FD..it would suck if he has 4dxd. I don't think he will show up with 9x holdings..MAYBE TT.

I think shoving is good here. He wont fold if u bet pot, but if u shove, even if he think "damm he has a missed FD" he wont have the balls to call.

I'd bet whatever I would if I had 10 10+ here if I wanted to bluff river. I know hes calling a shove just about never but I still hate putting in 2.5 times pot on the river on a bluff.

with triple barells against good players often you can get them to fold by betting pretty small, so it looks like a valuebet.

because here villain should know that he doesn't rep a big hand, so an opponent isn't gonna shove if he has a bighand, so i would bet $70ish and he will fold alot.

also a shove is too silly here, as they are both 2 BI's deep, so it is a massive overbet.

Serious question - Do the people advocating a shove realise that effective stacks are nearly 200 BBs?

I like a river shove if you think he usually 3bets AA-QQ preflop

if he also has a draw you have the best hand. he wont call a river bet, and he wont bet himself if checked to.

if he has a marginal hand like an 8 he prb isnt folding now, and he again will not often bet if checked to.

so imo this is actually a case where no worse hand will call, no better hand will fold. so check-fold.

of course this depends on how often he will fold an 8. if he folds an 8 to a push, then for crying out loud push
