3 possible buttons for this river spot
UTG is the tablefish, loose and bad, overplays but not too much wts
all i have on BU is his stats, 23/20 on just 100 hands no history i think all 3 options are possible on this river. PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $6 BB (6 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) CO ($597) Button ($834.10) SB ($1377.25) Hero ($785.35) UTG ($669.10) MP ($81) Preflop: Hero is BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $18</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Button calls $18, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Hero calls $12. Flop: ($57) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $38</font>, UTG folds, Button calls $38. Turn: ($133) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $102</font>, Button calls $102. River: ($337) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">Button bets $268</font>, Hero ??? |

[ QUOTE ]
i think i prefer shoving [/ QUOTE ] because he overplays hands so he will call you with any flush or trips on this board? I see. |

Re: 3 possible plays for this river spot
This has to be a fold. Anything else seems really bad.

Re: 3 possible plays for this river spot
please read again, you are mixing up UTG & BU, but thank you for your analysis
my last thoughts on the hand: i really think i have to fold here without a better read that villian can lay down hands getting good odds. There is not enough behind to make this move against an opponent i do not know really well. Of course target is that he should lay down his flush, but as written above, its not optimal here. 200$ more behind and i'd shove |
