Re: People that show bluffs are horrible people
i show bluffs from time to time. for me its an image thing to get better action in the future, if the oponent gets upset as well i consider it a bonus since upset people tend to make worse decisions.

Re: People that show bluffs are horrible people
Qrawl, you sound too sensitive to play poker.
Poker is a greedy game and you want to do all you can to bleed the other players of their cash. If you think showing a bluff = horrible person that is just plain ridiculous. They are doing it for a reason, normally to make you tilt and play worse. It sounds as though you probably would. I actually never show cards if I don't have to. I think you lose more than you gain by revealing cards. However, I don't not show because I am nice. If I thought it was +EV I would show every bluff I make. Not to be horrible but to take your money. If you sit at a table and are trying to take my money away I could say that you are the horrible one. |

[ QUOTE ]
When you're playing poker, and someone beats you then turns over their cards to show you the bluff... that's a horrible person. They'll always be a horrible person. I don't care what it's intended to do, the person that does it is someone you should avoid in future. They're horrible people that just want to rub things in your face. They have something to prove. That's my take on people that turn their cards over to show their bluff. It's inexcusable behavior. [/ QUOTE ] They do it to try to put you on tilt. I guess in your case, it works... |

Re: People that show bluffs are horrible people
If this is a joke then shame on me for replying, but why the hell would anyone play poker if you can't take the bluffs?

Re: People that show bluffs are horrible people
If you have to resort to cheap tactics like that, you probably need to improve your game. It didn't put me on tilt. The only thing that puts me on tilt is losing preflop all-ins when I have the best hand (e.g. AA vs Q4 os... QQ on the flop, etc).

Re: People that show bluffs are horrible people
Oh yeah, another thing that puts me on tilt... being shortstack, everyone folds to me when Im SB, I have KK, I allin, BB has AA, etc. It's times like that when I think maybe there is a god.

Re: People that show bluffs are horrible people
Back when I was more stupid then I am now I used to get pissed when anybody showed their cards when they didn't have to. Now I still think it is retarded for them to do so but I am glad when they do.
Of course folding a better hand in a large pot will put most people on tilt which is what happened in this case. |
