Weird River Spot
So if we ignore my admittedly retarded donk reraise on the turn, I don't know what I was thinking, what do we do with this river?

Re: Weird River Spot
Why does everyone completely dismiss their terrible plays when they post on 2p2? Raise the turn to around 3. As played i it looks as though he has the King, but its read dependant.

Re: Weird River Spot
I'm not completely dismissing my terrible play. It was, well, terrible. I'm saying I made a terrible play, now what should I do with the rest of the hand?

Re: Weird River Spot
readless I fold. Looks like he was slowplaying his K on the flop. Definitely have to find out where you are with a bigger raise on the turn. Make it $3 or $3.25 and you should quickly find out where you are.

Re: Weird River Spot
I would make the raise a lot bigger on the turn, minraising just gives him good pot odds to call with any 2 live cards and draw out. You were most likely ahead on the turn, but I think you'll have to fold river.

Re: Weird River Spot
flop: bet the full pot
turn: if he still donks into you, pop it to 4 or so river: yuck, he's prob got a king and you probably have to fold In my experience, we want to get the most value out of these kinds of hands before we get to the river. Your opponent clearly doesn't play well (evidence: the uber-small donk on the turn), so take advantage of his calling tendencies by betting larger. |

Re: Weird River Spot
Hes not bluffing and unless you know he is an idiot this is not 3x, so fold.

You know where you are: you have a boat and are only losing to KK and AA which are highly, highly unlikely. You raise the turn for value. Don't let SB open limp your BB. And yeah, I'm folding here. |

Re: Weird River Spot
Raise preflop, more on the flop, and more on the turn.
compared to those decisions the river has a trivial impact on your winrate. It's probably a fold. |
