Re: SSNL [cheese] thread: NOV 2007 (nc)
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] is 14/11 NIT styles ever profitable at 100nl+? my friend has been playing A LOT of hands of that style and loosing the last 3 days (like 25k hands), does anyone know of an example of someone whos won at a decent winrate (say 2-3+) over a big sample playing like that? [/ QUOTE ] I'm 15/13 and I win pretty solidly, so yeah, I'd def still win if I cut a few hands out of my playing range. [/ QUOTE ]but you would agree that there are many marginally winning nits around, what do you think makes you a better winner than the average nit? |

Re: SSNL [cheese] thread: NOV 2007 (nc)
I play well postflop and most nits don't. You can really win with any preflop stats as long as you play well enough postflop. Most nits are def marginal winners if they win at all.

Re: SSNL [cheese] thread: NOV 2007 (nc)
Why would somebody WANT to play 14/11 and hopefully manage to grind out 2 or 3BB/100 with no real chance of ever succesfully doing better at higher stakes, when they could play a normal style making a significantly better earn rate, have much much more fun playing, not have to play 500 tables to see a decent earn rate, and potentially with even lower variance due to avoiding the cooler nature of nit styles?

So my little 5-buyin shot at 400nl is going ok so far:
Also cleared 200k VPP, so ship the $2k milestone bonus. Not a bad way to start the month methinks. |
