25 Max - Triple barrel with complete air vs tagfish?
Villain is 30/12/1 over 77 hands. He was multitabling with me on 3 or 4 tables at this time. I had been winning a bunch and playing really solid. Is this a good spot for a triple barrel?

Nope, not exactly a scare card. the only way I think you'll get him to fold is if he was drawing to a flush (MAYBE a straight draw).

His 66 is scooping your $12.

Re: 25 Max - Triple barrel with complete air vs tagfish?
There aren't many good spots to triple barrel. Don't really see what he could have unless it's some kind of slowplay, floated and hit the King or just doesn't believe you at all. Plus, he is UTG so his range is reasonably tight after call on flop. Should be some kind of middle pair most of the time. Also plausible he had the straight draw which got there. When he calls the King turn... does not seem like he wants to fold... limp/call with 56s from a 30/12 also probably standard. So, the only draw got there on river and IMO it's in his range.
Not sure what I think about double barrel. King hands are certainly in your range. Prefer this kind of move against a regular or someone you have played against a lot and will again in the future. Bet sizing is good and you sold the bluff very well. No problem with that part. |

I like the 3 barrel bluff with that board texture(missed FD + K on the turn)...I do not like the bluff vs this villain..Based on the stats ONLY villain seem to be a calling station(30/12/1)...
If you do bluff the river IMO you can bet a smaller amount like $8-$10 without reducing your fold equity at all... |

I felt like he was scared of the king and could have easily had a missed FD. It wasn't a scare card but it wasn't a card that could have easily improved his hand and I think he was looking for improvement. He was also more like 25/13 than 30/12 at the time of the hand. And for ICMoney, no, he did fold. |

I don't actually think the texture helps you.
If the king didn't scare him, certainly the 2 isn't going to. |

I think the Ace would be the only card I'd consider a tri-barrel bluff here.

His 66 is scooping your $12. [/ QUOTE ] Do you (not pointed at anyone in particular) really think someone is calling with 66 in this hand on the river? Hero's line is strong. If the typical calling station took hands like 66 on boards similar to this and called strong bets on all 3 streets, they'd lose a buy-in every 100 hands or less. I'm not saying this is not a risky bluff, but I am saying that I think we aren't giving 'fish' enough credit to find folds. If Hero posted this hand as AA instead, would everyone be thinking 'yeah I bet the fish shows 66 on this river'? This hand just makes me think about Pokey's weak-tight post. It's very hard to judge the effectiveness of bluffs when you know it's a bluff. I would have liked to see this post with Hero's hand omitted and then a simple question at the end, 'What are the worst hands you think villain calls with here.' |

The only value I see is if you think his missed diamonds are higher than your T.
Axs or w/e. Sure he folded this time. My point was that if he calls on the turn with a pp, he's calling river too. At least they call me down more often than I would like. I tend to bluff more over multiple streets too, so take it FWIW. |
