The Clarkmeister Theorem
So I did a little search and couldn't find an exact def of what this is other than I know it has something to do with a 4 flush on the board? So what is it exactly.

Re: The Clarkmeister Theorem
River brings a 4 straight or 4 flush(or any otherwise scary board) means you should bet/fold against a straight-forward, passive player with your made hands.

Re: The Clarkmeister Theorem
If you are heads up against a straightforward or passive opponent, the river brings a big-time scare card, and your hand is strong enough that you would call a bet if you checked it to him, then you are better off bet/folding than check/calling because you will be less of an underdog when your bet is called than you would be calling a bet. It is primarily associated with 4-flush river cards.
You bet/fold because the combined instances when your opponent either folds a better hand or calls with a worse one will be more numerous than the times when he bets with a worse hand. |

Re: The Clarkmeister Theorem
Somebody has been reading this thread. Someone just raised me on the river on a four flush board without a flush.
