Re: Top set [TT] on scary board
This is the 6-max forum, full ring can be found in the side-bar.
That said, assuming as if you're acting as UTG of a 6-max game, I think this was played very poorly. The check/min-raise on a drawy board is awful for several reasons (there are several excellent threads that explain it if you don't see why). There's definitely no reason to check turn as villain never has a 7, and he doesn't call river without having you beat unless he's really bad. Instead, just bet flop, raise, and get it all-in ASAP. As played you have to check/call (or check/fold) the river. |

Re: Top set [TT] on scary board
bet/3bet AI on the flop.
As played, raise WAY more. Make it like $14 and obv call a push. Checking the turn is really dangerous on such a drawy board. I'd probably just shove turn with how you played the flop; unless he flopped a straight he doesn't have a 7 like ever. |

Re: Top set [TT] on scary board
Shove the turn, not many hands he can have here that you are behind and need to protect against flush draw and charge a straight draw which is probably not getting there because you have TT. Nice hand to have on this board. I'd only ever check if MP3 was super aggro and very, very likely to push if checked to. You don't want to see a diamond on the river.
