Re: NBA 2007-08 Week 1 Thread (10/30 - 11/5)
I think Seattle will cover here, and the under sounds pretty good as well. Denver is beat up. They just lost their starting PG (Atkins) for 2 months and will have to immediately adjust. The backup PG (Carter) is also out tonight, so they'll be starting Iverson at the point. JR Smith is suspended, so Yakhouba Diawara is starting at SG, and various other scrubs will be getting some playing time. Additionally, Camby's back has been acting up and he will probably play limited minutes.

Re: NBA 2007-08 Week 1 Thread (10/30 - 11/5)
I always thought i could pick basketball so this year i will and keep my results on here...
tonight Chi +2.5- 1 unit (to win 1.9) Was -2.5- 3 units (to win 5.85) Mil +6.5-1 unit (1.9) Dal -3.5-1 unit (1.95). I would have bet more here but josh howard is suspended and i am not sure how much they will miss him. Tor-Phi 190.5o- 1 unit (1.90) Sea-Den 217u- 1 unit moneyline- all bets of 1 unit Tor (1.27), Bulls (2.25)- I dont know if its a smart gambling thing to bet the same game 2x...Spurs(1.4) |

Those aren't to win. You are betting 1 unit to win .9 units (if your decimal odds are 1.90).

[ QUOTE ]
Lots of love for the Bulls getting 2.5, but what about the ML at +125. Seems like the possible better bet here. Missing Wallace is going to be a factor, but not a big one...maybe costs the Bulls 2 or 3 points in the game. Missing Noah is not a factor, imo. Many Bulls fans were upset with this draft pick, precisely because they don't think he'll be an impact player in the NBA. He wouldn't have made an impact in his first game. I think the Bulls are 3-4 points better on a neutral court with Wallace. Any thoughts on the Nets home court advantage? Big one, small one...I don't really have a good feel for the intangibles of the NBA. Thanks all. [/ QUOTE ] I hate to disagree here but there were talks in the preseason that Noah was gonna take a lot of minutes from Tyrus because of his work ethic and even a slight chance he was going to start. Ben Wallace is, as ESPN 1000 has reported, is a game time decision. I follow all that is the bulls and I fully expect him to play but just limited amount of minutes. I like Tyrus he has his bursts of energy that show potential starhood but I think he is not developed enough right now. I'll be interested in seeing what happens in the first few weeks. |
