Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/30 - $50k HORSE - Final Table)
Maybe a sick call by Tran but not a great call. The callingstation got lucky. He then called with bottenpair all the way a hand later. Didn't we saw the same thing in the main event by him? Made some sick call and then lost a lot of chips later on when he tried to be a hero and make a big call with a crappy hand.
Really annoying when Deeb got the quads and told Tran to muck his hand and slowrolling his own hand, really bad behavior. Not even like he had the absolute nuts either, Tran could have had two outs to beat Deeb's quads. |

Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/30 - $50k HORSE - Final Table)
I actually really enjoy watching the horse. I suck personally at most of the games but it's better than some unknowns flip for bracelets in holdem and it's made me want to improve my play in other games.

The lack of interest in this thread speaks volumes for how little chance any game has at overtaking no-limit hold 'em. Even 2+2ers don't care about HORSE very much. [/ QUOTE ] I'll take a small amount of intense interest over star-adulation by a bunch of clueless nimrods anyday. |

Hey guys, kevmath usually links to my articles on ESPN for the corresponding episodes, but they only just got tonight's preview up now. It reviews the eight players at the final table without spoilers. Hope you find it informative, Gary Wise http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/poker...amp;id=3085118 [/ QUOTE ] Thanks. I'll check it out. I really liked all the on-site reports from the WSOP this summer. |

Seems like Kenny's sick calls eventually catch up with him in tourneys. In cash can obviously shake one bad call off a lot easier. It's pretty obvious he gets a thrill out of it. Which would have to lead him to reach a little sometimes.

[/ QUOTE ] I think it's more about ESPN's coverage than about HORSE. I recall staying up til about 4 in the morning following the FT online, but ESPN's presentation somehow managed to suck all the drama out of it. Same with the ME. |
