Re: 400NL: top 2 against a bad LAG
meh, it's fine. Alternatively, felt the flop or turn.

Re: 400NL: top 2 against a bad LAG
seriously? you don't mind felting this turn? I don't usually play 400NL (took a shot) but that seems a little crazy with 20BBs in the pot and 90 behind.

Re: 400NL: top 2 against a bad LAG
Raise for value somewhere before the river. I really do not like how you played this hand.

Re: 400NL: top 2 against a bad LAG
You could play it differently in a couple of places but there's nothing wrong with the line to me. When he turns over a small pair with a club then it's the kind of thing that makes you want to quit poker though.

Re: 400NL: top 2 against a bad LAG
I think either play it like you did or raise the flop and go from there

Re: 400NL: top 2 against a bad LAG
the consensus seems to be that hero should put in a value raise on the flop or the turn.
but which? flop: PROS: -we might get some value from AK/KJ/QJ-type hands, and possibly a few flush draws too. CONS: - we might be pushed off the best hand (not sure about this just speculating) - if we're behind we raise ourselves off a draw. turn: PROS: - i think more hands come along for the ride: JJc, AcK, AKc, etc. - there's a (very) small chance we fold out a better hand: AQ/KK/AA without a club. CONS: villain might decide to rebluff. how's my thinking? Also: how much do you raise to and on which street? |
