Re: Common situation, what\'s your line? JJ after 3betting.
Perhaps cc preflop against this guy's opening range is better. I hadn't considered that. You might get the BB to tag along, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem due to your relative position.
Preflop you don't have a lot of FE against the opener, and you're not doing well OOP against his calling range probably. That is, if I am interpreting the 19/15 properly. |

[/ QUOTE ] Your relative position is just as bad as your absolute position. 19/15 is not that nitty. Any pair, any suited ace and any big ace as well as probably most two picture cards and a bunch of suited connecters are still in his opening range. He might think you will felt an overpair here and is able to call with any pair and perhaps a couple of drawing hands as well. I think I like a bet/fold here. He's not pushing AT if he's decent so all you're beating if he pushes is Axss and TJss, but you're not exactly crushing those hands either. If he calls the flop I'm probably check/calling any non-spade turn. |

JJ is too strong to play for FE alone. |

The part you quoted includes why I believe you are still way ahead of his calling range.

Re: Common situation, what\'s your line? JJ after 3betting.
A 19/15's calling range of my 3bet will be something like TT+ and AK(which he will 4bet alot) AQ(which he will fold sometimes and 4bet sometimes). And maybe sometimes a drawing hand planning to shove on a lot of flops, and it probably will shove on this flop.
Im starting to like calling preflop more because you obv. crush his opening range but dont play too well against his calling range. My range will be VERY polarized then in this specific situation, do you think that is a problem? |

Re: Common situation, what\'s your line? JJ after 3betting.
He has to call 9BB to potentially win a 110BB stack, and he has position. You don't think he'll very often call with any pair here?
