[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] In 96 when the Broncos were the best team in the league and they lost at home to Jacksonville in playoffs. Still makes me upset. [/ QUOTE ] But you won the next two super bowls, get over it. Also, the 96 Packers were the best team in the league by far. [/ QUOTE ] The Broncos were definitely the best team and the only reason why the Pack beat them that year was because the Broncos had everything locked up and sat their starters. [/ QUOTE ] The fact that the Packers and Broncos played an extremely close Super Bowl the next year suggests that neither team was that much better than the other. |

1995. Pats lose to the Browns in the Divisional Playoffs. I think that's the only time.

Re: Games that made you cry.
Growing up as an Ohio State fan, there were several crushing defeats to Michigan. The worst one though was 1998 against Michigan State. At home, up 24-9 with an absolutely dominating, #1 ranked team, only to lose 28-24 after getting a fourth down pass picked in the end zone. OSU was third going into the bowl season and never got a shot at the title because of this loss.
Paul Edinger made five FGs and Plaxico Burress had over 200 yards for MSU. I still haven't forgiven them. |

Any and every football game where the defense goes into prevent mode, three man rush.

Re: Games that made you cry.
Two come to mind, although I am sure there are more:
1. (Not really a sporting event) In the movie "Breaking Away" I always get sad when Dave gets taken down by the Italian Racing Team. 2. Babe Ruth's (not Gherig's) farewell speech. If you've ever seen it, it is heartwrenching. |
