Final Pot: $684 We didn't play a lot of hands with villain, one time he checkraised me on turn after my second barrell on ace high board and I folded (I didn't have anything). One time he checked flop IP and raised me on turn, when I called, he shut down and checked river (he had ace high, I had top pair). He seems to be overaggressive, but not stupid overaggressive, a typical player at these levels. His line here just doesn't make sense. He doesn't have any read on me that I will bet if checked to on turn and river so this can't be a good hand. It just seems like a bluff. My value bet is thin, but it is a good bet, because people don't believe bet check bet line and I get called by lower pairs so often that I would make that bet with a lone ten (I would probably bet turn in that case, maybe not against this guy because of the previous hand). However, what do you do on the river? Call or fold? |

I call. Can't see you beating any hand that check raises for value here except maybe an over pair but with this betting sequence I think it's a bluff often enough.
btw, why do you think your value bet is thin? |

[/ QUOTE ] It's not a thin value bet. I was under influence of another post when I bet trips on the river and Isura (who is a very good player) asked me why did I bet my trips. I don't get why he asked that so I am still wondering. It is not thin. Ah, forget it. |

i'd fold
QJ fits his range maybe its A9 but i dont see he going raise so much with it it would be a bluff but if we dont have reads still, its better to fold |

I told them. A9 would be silly, but possible. QJ I just can't see how he can check it on the river, because he doesn't have any reads on me. |

Re: 600NL two pair river getting checkraised after a checked turn
I'd call because his line doesn't make sense. I think you have better hand more than 33% of the time to make this call profitable. But I'm only playing NL100 so...

Re: 600NL two pair river getting checkraised after a checked turn
If you are as aggro as you say he will often check river with a strong hand, no?
With that said, this is a snapcall IMO. You look to weak and his line is a bluff far more then what you need for this to be EV+ |

Of course I bluffed him before, but he doesn't know that I don't have like bottom pair or ace high and will check river. I don't know how can he expect me to bet the river, how he can risk that I check behind. So I think it is a bluff far more often than a good hand. |
