[ QUOTE ] to datamine i need to: 1. download iwitness 2. get handgrabber run both and i will be able to on party? [/ QUOTE ] [Anal Mode] No. You need: 1. iWitness to keep farming poker tables. 2. A handgrabber to create hand history texts (FreePHG is great) 3. A poker database system to import the hand history texts into a usable database format. 4. A datamining system or a lot of knowledge about datamining if you're going to do it yourself with queries or code. Steps 1, 2, and 3 get you data. Step 4 refers to doing actual data mining; data mining is what you do with your data, not what you do to get data. See also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datamining [/Anal Mode] [/ QUOTE ] lol ok, i have PT - so it sounds like need to follow steps 1 and 2 then import them to PT. What exactly does #4 mean or does it just mean i have to figure out what to do with the info? |

all versions of iWitness have stopped working for me
everytime i start it, a very small popup from party opens and is closed by iWitness before i can read it. then it opens maybe 2 or 3 tables(sometimes of the wrong type) and then it just fails to open the rest. |

FWIW the small popup thing is happening to me too, but it keeps working.
Does hitting Refresh Tables entice iWitness into opening the rest? I sometimes find it stops at four tables as if I wasn't logged in, but continues when I refresh. Also try manually selecting your individual limit and sorting/filtering on potsize/table size (if you are mining a single table size) |

Guys, don't worry about the little pop-up, it's just the version info. Sam suggested that some of the problems people are having might be related to the version of Party they are running, so we check that now. It hasn't got anything to do with anything.

The first popup is just iWitness reading what version of the Party client you're running so it can be written into the log file.
When it stops at four tables, it's because it thinks you're not logged in. It's not a setting, it's just a bug. |

[/ QUOTE ] Well, what iWitness does is it checks on the tables every 5 minutes. The refresh option just does what the timer would do otherwise. The reason it stops before it has opened 10 tables is the bug where the lobby won't react to keystrokes (still don't know what this is...). Refresh may or may not be able to open more tables, I don't know. |
