Re: Flopped set
[ QUOTE ]
Yeah, you need to bet and raise with your sets here. I'm sure everybody's already said that, though, so I'll just leave it at that. While I'm here... [ QUOTE ] decided to limp this one because it was a fairly passive table (avg about 50% vpip). [/ QUOTE ] I think you're conflating two different concepts here. What you just described was a LOOSE table, not a PASSIVE one. When you're talking about VPIP, you're always talking about how loose or tight a table is (i.e., how many hands they'll play). When you talk about aggression factor (AF), then you're talking about how aggressive/passive the table is (i.e., how often they're betting and raising vs. how often they'll just call). [/ QUOTE ] Yeah sorry, I forgot to mention that PFR% was super low (can't remember exactly, but I it was a very passive table). Most of the past 15 pots or so went into the flop 4-6 handed with no raise. Those pots that were raised were almost always raised by me or CO (and cold called by 4+ people). I think, and correct me if I'm wrong here, that you folks are unanimous in telling me to bet my sets. |
