Re: $25NL hit straight, now what
[ QUOTE ]
I'd fold pre with JTs. I'd raise or fold 55, and ATs on the flop. Depends on villain how I play JTs on the flop. [/ QUOTE ] You're folding a $4 pot to a $0.75 bet? Yikes. I call that all day with AT, although I might fold the AT preflop. I dont like that hand oop vs a raise very much, unless villain is too loose. edit: Jekyl - it'd be hugely to your advantage to get PT and PA and get them working properly and use them. "Not a pro, not a fish" describes most players. Using the #s makes reading players much easier. |

Re: $25NL hit straight, now what
lol...I didn't pay much attention to stack sizes...
this is why I never respond to threads with more than one hand. |

To be honest I am not sure what is tight, avg, loose vpip; what the pfr% means (low = weak, high = aggressive?) and Tot aggreassion (low is weak, high is aggressive?) |

OK, one of these hands was real, but it made me wonder if I should handle other straights differently. How would you play the hand in each of these three different scenerios? Re: $25NL hit straight, now what
Simple ? flop decision:
Villain is 21/8/0.55 and calls ~60% of c-bets. Full Tilt Poker, $1/$2 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players LegoPoker Hand History Converter UTG: $114.40 CO: $200.45 Hero (BTN): $325.15 SB: $109.30 BB: $204.20 Pre-Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BTN) UTG raises to $4, CO folds, Hero raises to $16, SB calls $15, 2 folds Flop: ($38) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) SB checks, Hero ? It is worth noting that he went into his time bank before calling preflop and also used quite a bit of time before checking the flop. Notice his stack size. What's the plan if I check here? if I c-bet? |

Re: $25NL hit straight, now what
Villain is ~35/25 over ~150 hands of data mining. I'm fairly new to this table (maybe a couple orbits) so I dont know how he previously reacted to 3 bets.

Re: $25NL hit straight, now what
Simple preflop decision?
Raiser is 20/17. BB is 26/20 and has one of those FT football uniform avatars, which I think means he won a FTOPS tourney or something, for whatever thats worth. Full Tilt Poker, $1/$2 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players LegoPoker Hand History Converter CO: $145.45 BTN: $569.25 Hero (SB): $202.90 BB: $221.65 UTG: $203.40 MP: $217.15 Pre-Flop: 7 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (SB) UTG folds, MP raises to $7, 2 folds, Hero ? |

[/ QUOTE ] That guy is loose and somewhat aggressive, but not as aggressive as he should be if he's putting money in the pot that often. I dont think I want to play AT OOP so I usually reraise or fold preflop. If I reraise and he 4 bets I dump it. If he calls I'm fairly careful about playing the hand from there. I probably just fold JT preflop, although I'd sometimes reraise. I would usually call the 55 and would not c/r the turn if thats what you had. I think I might call down if he continues under betting the river and just fold if he makes a real river bet. |
