Re: 2-4 blind battle w/ flush draw
I don't mind it, Pete. You've got the Q blocker for the straight and there's really only one hand that can call this - KK. TTxx would be retarded as it wouldn't have gone past the turn so unless he's got the 2nd nuts, he'll be finding this near impossible to call.

in my experience once they call the turn here, they are just never folding

in my experience once they call the turn here, they are just never folding [/ QUOTE ] This is the main reason I posted. I have generally found this too. If I had a PSB left in my stack I probably wouldn't have bothered firing the river at all. But with a half-psb, I'm getting a pretty good price on the bluff, and (maybe?) it looks stronger than a half-PSB when I have more chips behind. |

You have to know this player too right? You didn't do this vs a complete unknown I take it?

[ QUOTE ] I don't think a special read is all that necessary though. [/ QUOTE ] Alrighty. NH. [/ QUOTE ] I didn't mean to suggest that it was necessarily a good play, or that the character of opponent isn't important. Just that I don't think the reasoning (whether right or wrong) is based on anything particularly obscure about the opponent's style. |
