First hand, villain is a huge loser.

I think the board is too coordinated here to make the call, despite him being a huge loser. He can easily have 2 pair here and his hand is repped pretty well here. Shove on river is weird though... I would probably fold out of safety, but you COULD be ahead. Bleh, depends whether or not you don't mind losing all your chips lvl1 w/ top pair.

Call every draw missed villain sucks. I probably raise the flop or turn.

If I dont raise the flop, which i will sometimes - I am definitely raising the turn when I pick up the nfd. As played, he leads flop for pot, then bets 2/3 pot, then overbet shoves. I'll go broke here

If the villian sucks, shove the turn, he's not going anywhere with J10.
I'm stacking off here against huge fish, but I never play pot control lines with huge fish. His line is really strong though, the doubling bet on the turn, and the shove on the river both scream strength. I'd like a call a heck of a lot more if he bet 300 on the turn instead of 200. |

We gotta raise at least turn because that would be our last chance to get money from worse hands in general. ofcourse if they push allin on missed draws on river thats another option to get money but thats rare and really stupid.
Although as played id fold river because we are only beating bluff here and there is way TOO many action from bb in unraised 20bb pot, he could have that two pair, set or straight pretty easily. |

I would raise the limper preflop. From there I like the line you took since it's a small pot. I would probably have to call that river - I just feel like he has QJ or KQ (or AT, AJ, etc) too often here.
Edit: I also like the line of raising the turn, on second thought. I didn't notice that we'd picked up a flush draw, and anyways we're still pretty confident that AQ is good here. |

everyone is saying to raise the turn but what about raising the flop? is this a mistake? I agree that as played I def. raise turn with picking up the nfd but when I saw the hand I thought it was a mistake to smooth call the flop, someone enlighten me
