Re: AK 10nl turn donk
I don't like calling in this position. I don't want to oblige myself into calling a river bet on a flushed board when the best I can hope for is 2pair/trips. He's only donked 1/2 pot which says to me he's not worried about the flush draw.
A raise seems a bit out of the question also. I agree with jailbreakers that crappy flushes may fold... but not that often at 10nl, and I would expect a crappy flush to bet more on this turn. Folding seems the best option to me. |

Re: AK 10nl turn donk
Anyone see villain doing this with AT or AJ? His line of thinking could be:
Preflop: I've got a pretty strong Ace (sooted!), lets see a flop. Flop: I got TPGK, bet is pretty small and I have TP, folding here is too weak. Turn: Flush card came, maybe I can get villain to think I was chasing a flush. I'll put out a blocking bet of 1/2 pot and maybe a) I can get him to fold and b)See where I'm at in this hand and plan on checking the river. Considering this is the lowest stakes on a site, you will see a lot of bad players. And alot of these guys do not like to fold a strong (AKA marginal) hand unless they are VERY sure they are beat. I don't think you can judge how good someone is based solely on their stats. Thoughts? |
