Re: Whats My Play?
Yeah. Check the turn (or shove it).
Hard to say anything about PF b/c we have no idea what position you are in and what position villain is in. Honestly, this looks more like a BBV thread than a serious question. I mean, what do you mean "What's my play?" Where do you want advice? The whole hand? Sherman |

Re: Whats My Play?
I was in the small blind and hes in the big blind. i've never posted hands on here yet and its a hand i went out on.
I see your saying c/f the turn or just shove it, i just wanted to see what people thought and it was a hand i busted out on. Your saying its more of a bbv post, what should i look at in my hand to decide what forum i should put it in? Just whether or not it has an easy answer? |

Re: Whats My Play?
Not sure that i bet the flop. Leading turn if flop is checked thru is ok. As played check/open-shove turn? I think i check b/c he's not folding enough/u don't have enough equity when called to make this semi-bluff EV+.

Re: Whats My Play?
Preflop raise is fine, Pot is now 1200.
Flop cbet makes sense, though on that sort've board I'd rather go slightly smaller. Pot is now 3200, stack sizes 2500. You have 20% equity versus Ax & 31% equity against a lower pair so it's clear you need hardly any fold equity for shoving to be +EV. The question is whether check/folding is more +EV. I think it's close, but I think he folds enough of his range (random floats, random stuff like 65 maybe) & doesn't give you a free card that often, so I shove. Betting 1800 isn't really worse than shoving, but just stick the 2500 all in there. As for the forum thing, this is definitely the correct forum, the earlier points were just that it isn't written in a way that looks like it wants advice. |

Re: Whats My Play?
Given your stack and the villain in this hand, I'd check/shove the flop hoping to rep the A and that he doesn't have it.
If he checks through on the flop, I lead almost every turn (this is known as a delayed c-bet; I use it when I have been c-betting way too much and am afraid of getting bluff-raised). As played, either open-shove or check/fold the turn. You got it in good and got unlucky. Not much you can do. |

Re: Whats My Play?
sherman? Open shove or C/shove? So we are guessing cause I doubt he's folding any ace...worst kind of flop and we are out of position with junk...it is okay to surrender and wait for a better spot rather than playing russian roulette
