Re: $100r vs imperium-- am i terrible?
I think your play is very +cEV here. IMO Sorel's UTG raising range is wider than the Grand Canyon, and he's willing to 4bet any hand that he opens with. Therefore, 88 has his range crushed. Jamming is always +cEV when there is a significant gap between Villain's raising and calling ranges, and here I think the gap is huge, since I have to believe his 5bet calling range is pretty tight here (he'd have to consider mucking 99-JJ here). Even if you get called, which I think is happening rarely, there's a good chance you're racing here, because the less pairs he's willing to call with here, the greater the % of his calling range AK becomes.

easy fold to the 4bet. sure hes making a move once in a while but not nearly enough for the times hes snapcalling (almost always). He knows his image, he knows you don't like to fold. Seriously, I was at his table most of the turney and he got most of his chips from people paying him off in spots they shouldnt.

[ QUOTE ] Didn't read the hand, but you shouldn't be folding to bigballz'z raises. [/ QUOTE ] That's interesting because at the time I really felt that he was just making moves on me, but I really had no idea how he played so I couldn't justify 5 bet bluffing that one hand where he 4 bet me. [/ QUOTE ] well i wasnt folding to your shove, and your OP is a pretty good explaination of why |
