Re: Stars WCOOP main replay, why only 1 player\'s holecards?
[ QUOTE ]
very suprised that Rousso's cards aren't shown. I would have thought it would be mandatory for Team Pokerstars members... [/ QUOTE ] Wow - as a grammar nit, I apologize, and FMP. |

Re: Stars WCOOP main replay, why only 1 player\'s holecards?
Just posted this in another thread
[ QUOTE ] I don't think that they'd lose people, but I see no point in doing it. Live 10ks require players to show their cards and in return the players get avenues to sponsorship deals, fame and the game gets huge tv coverage, so it makes sense to require participating players to give up their right to not disclose their cards for the greater good of the game, tournament and player. PStars would be asking players to give up the same thing in return for basically nothing at all, it wouldn't get the players signed to any kind of deal any faster and even if it didn't turn players away it wouldn't make the fields bigger/fishier either (in fact you could make a very strong argument that knowing that each hand will be replayed to death and scrutinized by tons of people may make the FTs tougher); so why should we be forced to show our cards if we don't want to? Requiring players show their cards under the current conditions would be silly. [/ QUOTE ] Also, lol at Team Pstars member not showing their cards. It would have been even more hilarious if Russo's name was among the ones listed in that email (I'm actually surprised they didn't just list Stars players). And I think the players are entitled to 1) a better email, that one is kind of condescending and stupid. 2) some kind of compensation: "In return for sharing your hole cards you'd a ticket into the next 215 Sunday Mil" or 10k FPPs or something like that. Nothing too big, but something to induce people to show their cards since it would be stupid to require it but it is in the best interest of the replays that the cards be shown. |

[ QUOTE ]
When I made the mil FT like a bajillion years ago, they sent me an email asking if I would show my cards. Since I lasted about 5 mins I didn't really care and said yes, shortly before attempting suicide for not winning a quarter mil that day. [/ QUOTE ] this is how i feel |

[/ QUOTE ] If it's optional, and only benefits the site to do it, hell yeah I'd hold out for some FPPs, or at least some decent swag. My question is, why isn't there some clause in the T&C that makes it a requirement? Don't they have fine print for WSOP satellites, etc? Are players going to run from the Sunday million just b/c they may have to show that they pushed with 52 suited? |

Re: Stars WCOOP main replay, why only 1 player\'s holecards?
I FT'd (3rd) the Mil last year, and agreed to show mine.
No wonder I can't win anymore |
