How much should I bet the river here?
I know preflop is a little liberal. What about the turn - do you dislike it? Full Tilt Poker Pot Limit Omaha Ring game Blinds: $0.50/$1 6 players Converter Stack sizes: roggles: $89.35 UTG+1: $18.50 CO: $140.05 Button: $41.30 SB: $69.75 BB: $127.15 Pre-flop: (6 players) roggles is UTG with 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] roggles calls, UTG+1 calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB calls, BB checks. Turn looks fine. You are representing a set. Probably bet 2/3 pot on river.

Strictly from a railbirds' perspective, I would have to say fold just because all you've got is a busted draw. It's difficult to put CO on a hand like 2 pair in this situation because he just calls on the flop and turn. Nevertheless, he could be playing a much larger hand slowly in an effort to extract more chips. He may have kings in the hole, however, just calling the turn bet is risky considering the possibility that there is someone drawing to a flush ... tense situation - make sure you have a coin handy the next time this EXACT situation arises.

it all looks fine, I'd probably go about 38 on the river and expect not to get called much.

i think this is a situation where any line on river is fine. check, bet or push and represent a bluff.
however, out of the 3 choices, betting at least half pot or 3/4 is usually the best option. |

I think it makes it hard for him to call any sizeable bet. he may hav a weaker flush, two pair type hand. considering that you hand plays out like a set, you can make a smaller blocking bet on the river. if you bet something like 20-25 he may feel your scared of that river and bluff shove overtop of you. also the smaller bet looks fishy and will be looked up a lot lighter then a 2-3 or greater bet. |

Anyone like a fake blocking bet here, like $10-$25? That way villain will be priced in to call with TJ, will definitely call with any flush that he may have folded to a real bet, and might even raise the second or third nuts, or maybe even raise on a bluff with something like 67Tx .
I use this line like never, but I've had pretty good results with it when I have, especially against bad and aggressive players. |
