Neteller and Globewallet
I just got this card from Neteller, but havent tried it yet.
How does it work? When you make a transfer from Neteller to the card, do they charge huge fees for converting from Canadian Dollars to US dollars? The last time they issued me an ATM, they would convert CDN$ to US$ and then when I took cash out of an ATM here in Europe, I got raped on the conversion from US$ to euros. I remember it cost me something like $150 to withdraw 600 euros from an ATM, and I promptly cancelled that card. Does this card work more like the usual Visa Mastercard, bank ATM cards in that the conversion rate is reasonable? I would like to hear from Europeans who have tried it. Jonathan |

Re: Neteller and Globewallet
My neteller card in the UK is issued by Altair.
http://web.neteller.com/content/en/a...eller_card.htm shows the fees associated with using it. The fees are actually better than the previous neteller card, but still, in my experience I'm hitting around the 3-4% mark to get my USD from neteller to GBP/Arg Pesos cash. The card works exactly like any regular Mastercard/Visa. P.O.S, purchases online etc etc. |
