Re: College Football Week 6
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] LOL at the University of Spoiled Children just retarded end game by Carroll way to waste not one, but two timeouts --challenged the spot --defensive timeout after the offense called a timeout terrible call by the Pac10 officials before the 4th and 20 pickup --on 3rd and 20, Stanford completed a pass to the 3 yd line Officials ruled the receiver went out-of-bounds and it was illegal touching. However, since the out-of-bounds resulted from contact with the defender, it is void. horrible and almost determined the outcome in a year of upsets....THIS IS THE BIGGEST EVER IN HISTORY WITH NO DOUBT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [/ QUOTE ] Pete lost the game up 9-0 and not kicking the FG at the end of the half inside the 5 but going for it. So stupid. Kick it there, 26-24 win and still #2. [/ QUOTE ] I don't know if there #2 even if they won, they really haven't looked that great all year long. They've struggled with medicore teams. This USC team really isn't that good. If you watched any of todays game you would have noticed that. I guess from beating UM last year convincingly it seemed like they were good. Too bad UM was overrated and USC really isn't that elite this year. |

Re: College Football Week 6
sigh...well played tigers, we just gave up. i really hate hester, he played fantastic. 5/5 on 4th down conversions is unheard of. talk about a lack of respect for the D. christ, if this had been last year...
anyways, enough reminiscing. gg, well played. on the other side, Nebraska got totally destroyed and many are calling for callahan's head. |

Re: College Football Week 6
Saying things like "USC isn't that elite this year" is kind of silly. Granted that this was a terrible loss, but they still are the most "talented" team in the nation (by a fair amount).
Depending on who leaves early this year, there's a chance that USC could have 7 defensive players taken in the first round of the NFL draft. Think about that for a second. That's not even including the offensive side of the ball, which will add a few more first-round picks (Booty and OT Sam Baker). Source: http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ We're clearly not the best team in the country right now. We have problems with our schemes and we turn the ball over too much and we get too many penalties. That, however, is not the same as saying this isn't an "elite team." There's a very good probability that this USC team will produce over 1/3 of the players selected in the first round of next year's draft. |

You want to bet on that. I'll give you 10 to 1 that they won't get 10 first round picks.

Re: College Football Week 6
People at USC don't usually leave early because they want a chance to shine on their own and USC is a pretty sweet place, but if Maualuga, Cushing, Kyle Moore, Patrick Turner, etc. all decided to leave early instead of return for their senior year, there's no question we'd get to 10.
I don't think we'll actually get 10, just pointing out we have the talent to get to 10. There's no other team in the country that has the potential to get to 5. |

Re: College Football Week 6
[ QUOTE ]
I just went back and read through everything in this thread prior to the start of the LSU/Florida game, and couldn't help but ressurect this nugget of a post: [ QUOTE ] Stanford at USC on "versus". "John David Booty" already said twice in first two mins! Can USC make it 36 consecutive home wins? Its anybody's guess. Stay tuned! [/ QUOTE ] Also... how was the ONLY mention of Kansas for one person to mention them, and one person to respond with a Mangini fat joke? After their win @ KSU today, which legitimizes their destruction of cupcakes, how can you not consider them the favorite in the Big Twelve North? They get Nebraska at home and don't play Oklahoma OR Texas. If Kansas still isn't ranked in this week's poll I will vomit all over Hawaii's top 15 ranking. [/ QUOTE ] LOL how can u not consider them the favorite in the big 12 north??idk maybe that missouri team is that is 5-0 who just destroyed nebraska who idk just beat kansas 41-6 the last game of last year they seem decent |
