camel - thanks for the input.
I knew Monte Carlo had to be a really nice experience also but hadn't heard much about it.
Atlantis sounded pretty awful from your experience there but my guess is that this may have been the exception. It can't be that bad for everyone who's looking to have a really nice resort-style vacation.

How long is the package in Monte Carlo?
Atlantis is 7 or 10 days or something, right?

This was the second year we had been to Atlantis. The first trip was moderate but obviously not as bad as this years experience, Even those who've enjoyed Atlantis will agree, I'm sure, that the service is way below what you would expect at an American hotel. The food was the equivalent of the buffet at Sam's Town; ie: edible but you wouldn't rush to go back.

I believe both trips are 7 days.

I think the Caribbean has a different idea of service. At a different 5 star resort my dry cleaning was delivered to the wrong room. When I called about it instead of correcting the problem they told me what room it was in and that I could get it from them. I've come to judge hotel service on a relative scale.

My point with Atlantis is that it isn't a complete hole like most places in Cuba / DR / Mexico. For the Bahamas it is the best and nicest option but that isn't saying much since the Bahamas are pretty low on the regional hierarchy.

Update:

Upon further consideration I have decided not to attempt SNE next year. I will, however, be setting other goals which may include the 750kVPP mark.

That is probably a wise choice and I wish you the best of luck in it.

Myself, my goal is to get the 300k bonus. I will have to perminately move to 100NL in order to achieve that though.

So the rest of the year is about bankroll inflation to get to 100NL and have enough buy-ins for the adapting phase that I need to go through.

Plus, i will be playing a TON live after march.

My meager goal for next year is to make 200k mark for sure, possibly 300k if its going well first part of the year.

I didn't really start playing alot of hands on Stars until June (Mostly NL50 and NL100) and I should make Nova by end of Dec. finally, so getting to 200k should not be too difficult for me.

As a business owner working 60-70 hours a week and a baby on the way, thats about all the playing time I can get in.

good choice IMO

it's pretty hard to play both 6max and fullring at the same time

I think you'll lose more in ev playing the hands than you'll gain from SNE

i would like to see a change in the 6 month deadline to make 1M vpps when you become SNE, just change it to 75K vpps a month to maintain once your SNE. And would also like to see more cars added. perhaps a 1.5M car or 2M vpp car. and please dont change the concierge service. Also No Table max for Supernova players. please take off the 12 table cap.

I strongly agree with this. I mean, why are we dumping the Elite's at the end of June if they are on pace to make Elite again? It doesn't make any sense.

I go back and forth on this.

On the one hand, it might not be in the best interest of the games to do this.

But on the other hand, those that can handle more tables are just playing the extra tables on another site. I frequently have a couple of Full Tilt tables going with my Stars tables, for example.

What really doesn't make sense is that it's a 12-table cap at all games. So if you're playing 6-max you can play up to ~1200hands/hr. If you're playing full ring, you can only play up to ~800hands/hr. This is a big disadvantage for full ring players. If anything, they should take this into consideration and maybe make it something like 10 tables max for 6-max and 15 tables max for full. Of course doing something like this might be a bit of a PITA for them.
