Re: OT: Official POG Baseball Postseason thread
Dustin,
There are no truly great teams out there this year, which makes things wide, wide, wide open. Every single team could win (I'm skeptical about the Cubs and Rockies, but the freaking Cards won last year, so, yeah). |

Re: OT: Official POG Baseball Postseason thread
the diamondbacks are unbelievably overrated
feel free to disagree with anything i say except this: the diamondbacks are not going to win the NL. i have them beating the cubs because, well, they're playing the cubs. |

The entire NL could be banished from the postseason as far as I'm concerned.

I think the cubs will beat the diamondbacks [/ QUOTE ] i put the diamondbacks as 55% to win that series or so so i don't really disagree |

The entire NL could be banished from the postseason as far as I'm concerned. [/ QUOTE ] The worst part is they probably have about a 40% chance of winning the world series despite the fact that Detroit would probably have had the best record in the NL by about 8 games (10 if they played in the NL Central). |

Re: OT: Official POG Baseball Postseason thread
This is kind of a weird time in sports right now. There's two truly good teams in college football (maybe just one, USC makes me wonder) and everyone else is bunched up between 3-30 practically. Besides the Pats (and I guess the Colts) the NFL is a total crapshoot. And then there's the baseball playoffs. It wouldn't shock me if the Phillies stay hot and roll the whole way. There's just so few dominating teams out there in any sport anymore.
