NL200(6max)River decision with TPGK
Is this ever call against unknown? BTN is a donkey shortstacker and CO is basically unknown. I've been about 10 hands at the table and he has limp-call most of the hands preflop.
Thanks. Re: NL200(6max)River decision with TPGK
This spot is pretty "meh" in my opinion. I don't think a call or a fold here is a huge mistatke. Against a guy who has been doing a lot of limp/calling I would most likely make this call, b/c I would read excessive limp/calling preflop as a sign of a weak player. A weak player could show up here with almost anything, worse Q, Busted draw, maybe even second pair.

You're getting really good money on it, so lacking a strong read or good stats I say take your almost 4:1

Re: NL200(6max)River decision with TPGK
I would c/c the turn after getting both callers on flop then c/f river. Vs an unkown what is he betting on the river? looks like a slowplayed set. He also could of had KJcc or J9cc and continued on the turn b/c of the flush draw. Here i dont think your Q is good. didnt even see the bet size. Yea this so looks like a value bet, your Q is def no good here.

Re: NL200(6max)River decision with TPGK
My standard line with TPTK is to c/c the turn then re-eval on the river. Here I rarely call an unknown after firing twice. If he wants to spew you find out soon enough.

Re: NL200(6max)River decision with TPGK
I think a call here, following your river check, is not just fine, but probably good against an unknown. I like checking for value here, and also to control the pot in case you're behind (although it's important to mix it up with value bets, too). I think that you're ahead of marginal hands and draws fairly often. I would expect a bigger hand to normally raise you at some point before the river (not to say you won't get slowplayed sometimes, too).

Close one, but I think I'd call. If he flopped a straight/ 2pair he probably would have raised already and it's unlikely the four helped him.
