Re: QQ tricky Turn whats the best +ev way to play this?
i would typically call and then call a lot of rivers. He hardly ever has an ace here. raising is bad because your not folding better nor getting value from many worse.

Re: QQ tricky Turn whats the best +ev way to play this?
My thoughts:
If you call his turn bet, do you call his river shove? He's obv representing the A and might actually have it, therefor he's trying to extract more value out of his A. If he checked the turn his thinking may be that you'l check the turn too and fold to his river bet????? Is that possible?? Something else. He may be betting a flush draw here. If you strongly suspect that he is, isn't is more +EV to raise the turn even slightly so that you can value bet the river if his flushdraw misses? |

Re: QQ tricky Turn whats the best +ev way to play this?
I call turn and fold to river shove. His most likely hand is an underpair to the A making a scared blocking bet/bluff. These hands usually give up on river. I might Vbet river small if checked to, depending on the card.

Re: QQ tricky Turn whats the best +ev way to play this?
him having an ace means either he called pf with A6, A7, or A5, OR he called the flop with mere overcards.
him having a flush draw means he called pf with KJs (you have the Qd, and the Ace is on the board) and then again on the flop with nothing - super unlikely. imo he has a pp here HEAPS. Sometimes a set, sometimes a single pair. |
