Really? Cause he played it like a weak T or FD and either way his Ax of diamonds could have paired or he could just have T8 or something and I dont think its profitable to continue to try to make these ballsy calls. Not to mention when you have a real hand you'd like this guy to try to bluff you again right?

I usually think of it from an EV standpoint. This bet has to "work" approx. 45% of the time to show a profit. Against many players on many diff. flop textures it's very difficult to get folds > 50% of the time. Not saying a cbet is -EV here in a vacuum, but it certainly can be against many opponents. To balance, I'll often c/r in spots like this with big draws or air(rarely). |
