Re: Poker After Dark thread (Week of 9/17 - Poker At Its Best)
Thanks for sharing all of that Barry. From my amateur POV, it did appear that Tuan played great. He certainly was aggressive preflop and seemed to have a great read on when to push the action, whether it hit him or not. It's hard for me to judge Howard's play since he got hit with the deck so hard. A good week's worth of shows, imho.

Re: Poker After Dark thread (Week of 9/17 - Poker At Its Best)
I haven't bothered going to my local library to watch PAD on their computer (mine is dialup crap + no NBC access) so I've been relying on these posts to keep me updated. Thanks Barry for an excellent post--sort of like a Director's cut post. Loved it! I can save a trip to the library once again. There's just so much poker to watch nowadays (even in Canada) that I'm just trying to save time and do other things.

Did Barry become Tuan's mentor before or after the two WPT titles?

Thanks for the insight Mr. Greenstein. Good luck at the remaining WCOOP events!

Re: Poker After Dark thread (Week of 9/17 - Poker At Its Best)
I just finished watching the last episode and saw this post here.
All I gotta say is Tuan Le's play was masterful, very entertaining to watch his style...good hand reader + balls to back it up. Also kudos to Daniel for keeping us on the edge of our seat with the showing one ace. I was laughing so hard at that, was fun to watch. |

In all fairness to Daniel, even though it probably cost him the pot, he was going out of his way to show that showing one card made the broadcast more interesting. Barry [/ QUOTE ] Yeah...they had been discussing the new rule, which I agree is ridiculous. One a side note, though, if you accidentally expose one card while throwing your hand into the muck, the dealer doesn't have to expose the other one. I got pretty good at accidentally hydroplaning the top card last time I played the 1080 at Bellagio. |

I wish Barry would give us some info on that basketball bet Tuan was talking about That sounded interesting.

Thanks for posting Barry. Tuan is a very good player, I was impressed by him. "The Grinder", well, not so much.
On the director's cut, Howard said he got pocket Aces 4x in heads up. Unbelievable. |
