Against a set you're 60-40 favorite, and against a higher flopped flush (which most flushes would be higher than urs) you're pretty much drawing to a backdoor straight flush (500:1 shot) only if those cards weren't folded. Given that you're a 60:40 favorite or a 500:1 underdog ONLY IMO, being against a higher flush 75% of the time I'd say, I'd fold the hand and feel pretty well.

isn't it 989 to 1 j/w.... u forgot the times i know its small however when the other guy did flop a lower flush.

At the time, I was following FGators reasoning of calling and reevaluating based on turn. With stacks these deep I wanted to give myself an out if the turn is nasty (another heart or paired board).

Hero calls $80.

Turn: ($295) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $280.8 (all-in), Hero ??

On a good day i manage to fold this on flop... once you called flopbet you're playing for stacks, and turn is a blank. I can't fold this.

Yeah, I don't like calling the flop. There's nothing to re-eval.

And after more thought, I think that a flush is more likely to be played like this than a set or Ah (and there are many more combos), and the nut flush is the most likely to be played like this. So I think a fold on the flop is probably best.

Results:

Hero calls $280.80.

River: ($856.60) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: $856.60
Villain shows A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Upon further reflection with these stacks I think it is a pretty clear fold to the reraise on the flop in this case. Does anybody like a c/c c/c c/c line OOP to give other hands the maximum opportunity to bluff/semi bluff and minimize losses when we are behind? Or am I just being results oriented? If we both had 100BB stacks then I would feel better getting it all in I guess.

No, you can't c/c down. Your hand is very good, but very vulnerable. Also it's 3 way, you definitely have to protect your hand.

There is like no way he doesn't have the nuts when he pushes that turn.

I think I can fold the turn and I'm being serious and not results oriented.

What else is he seriously doing that with?

Even a complete wackjob wouldn't push a set that deepstacked and even a complete wackjob wouldn't complete the flop action that this guy did (smooth calling, then pumping it up then shoving the turn for $280).
